BUSY LEARNING AREA
Dear Year 1 Parents,
Please see below Newsletters regarding our Year 1 Busy Learning Area.
We use busy learning to aid our transition from Reception into Year 1. We have the opportunity every week to explore the multi-sensory activities and experiences in our designated room and learn through play. This is where we lead our own learning. Each set of activities reflects the curriculum focus of the week from inside the classroom. This means that our time in the Busy Learning Area helps to enrich our learning and act as an intervention time if needed. We work on all our skills including social, maths, creative thinking, scientific inquiry skills and literacy in the Busy Learning Area and we aim to bring all our experiences back into the classroom.
Every week we will send you a Newsletter specific to what the children have learnt to do during their time in the Busy Learning Area.
Please read and enjoy!
Kind regards,
Mrs Kim Draper
Assistant Head for Key Stage 1
